Dharamshala

A Spiritual Dwelling

Dharamshala View

Dharamshala - "A spiritual Dwelling" - is a hill station lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar range about 17 kms north-east of Kangra town. This hill station is wooded with oak and conifer trees and snow-capped mountains enfold three sides of the town.

The town is divided into two parts: Lower Dharamshala, which is the commercial center, and Upper Dharamshala, famously known as McLeod Ganj, which is the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and a hub of Tibetan culture.
